Acupressure Massage (75 mins)
Acupressure (Shiatsu) Massage is a dynamic manual therapy originating in Japan, which uses the power of touch, pressure and gentle stretching techniques to balance the body’s energy system, your emotions and the functions of your internal organs. Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (like acupuncture), this massage can help in a wide range of conditions – from specific injuries to more general symptoms of poor health. It is a deeply relaxing, yet invigorating therapy and regular sessions can help to prevent the build up of stress in our daily lives. It also works to improve your overall health by affecting the body’s natural regulation, internal energy system and circulation.
Through this massage therapy, there is often an increased range of motion and improved coordination. The acupressure techniques are used to restore muscle and bone structure that will give you the most therapeutic benefit according to your individual needs.

Craniosacral Therapy (50/60 mins)
Craniosacral Therapy is practice that stems from Osteopathy. It is a gentle and deeply restorative form of bodywork that uses light touch and subtle movements to support your central nervous system body’s innate ability to balance, restore and heal. These sessions are non-invasive and works in tandem with your body’s natural intelligence to help you regulate and self-repair.
Sessions are fully clothed on the treatment couch (table). You may request the presence of someone you trust should you need additional support or assistance.

Cupping Therapy (30 mins)
Myofascial Cupping Therapy is a treatment that uses a combination of massage strokes and negative pressure to lift, separate, and stretch underlying soft tissues.
Cupping helps to create space for the underlying tight muscle to lay down and relax. It also helps bring blood flow to the area in need. Blood carries important nutrients which help with tissue healing. At Soma Haus, we use myofascial decompression to address compensatory movement patterns. This is done by adding movement with treatment. Movement can be in the form of sliding the cups over the necessary tissue or leaving the cups static while moving body parts.

Head, Neck & Trap Relief (30 mins)
This is a specialised massage developed by our Soma Haus therapists targeting the front of the shoulders, upper back and neck. Tightness in these areas can impact your overall emotional wellbeing, body posture and functions, as well as your ability to breathe efficiently. Therapists utilise a variety of manual techniques such as slow strokes and deep finger pressures on contact areas. Some oils or creams may be used to ease friction on the skin. These sessions are short and sweet to give you the necessary relief to go about your day-to-day with more ease and clarity.
These sessions do not have an assessment element and our intended to complement your existing recovery program with other therapists and healthcare practitioners. Please wear something loose and comfortable. For female clients, please avoid leggings and tight clothing as therapist will be contacting the skin directly.

Myofascial Massage (Remedial Sports Massage) (50 mins)
This massage follows a systematic approach to your body and health. Therapists utilise a variety of manual techniques such as quick brushes on skin, slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, by either following or crossing over the muscle fibres, fascia, tendons and lymph vessels. Some oils or creams may be used to ease friction on the skin.

Physiotherapy (50 mins)
Physiotherapy is a science-based profession that takes a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. This includes taking into account a patient’s general lifestyle, preferences as well as the presented symptoms at hand. Working with a physiotherapist can help to restore movement and function when a patient is affected by injury, pain, illness or disability. This is performed through movement, exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.
At Soma Haus, our Physiotherapist prioritises a preventative care and approach to health; revolving around the patient’s active engagement in their own care through education, awareness, empowerment and participation in their treatment.
